It's amazing how many people from Paderborn area are connected to Thailand. Many of them privately and without ever coming to public. As Thailand's Friends of Paderborn we now had the idea to meet people from the region and get to know how they are related to Thailand. We like to learn more about how they got to know Thailand, what experiences have they had and what their fascination of Thailand is all about. For this reason, we created a section in this website called "interview" in which we always want to present interesting people who have a personal relationship to Thailand.

We will start with Marie Bartels. The 16-year-old Paderborner citizen is currently attending Gymnasium Theodorianum in Paderborn, and from this summer she plans to stay with a host family living in Thailand for one year, and will visit the local school. We have met her and her family to find out how exciting it can be to relocate for a long time to the land of smile.
